We Own Rotterdam

We Own Rotterdam has been online for six weeks now. I am really glad I got the chance to get involved with this interesting, challenging project! A big shout out to my “co-owners” Elseline, Mathijs and Tom. It’s a lot of fun working with you.
The site is an online agenda for undergroundy, artsy stuff going on in Rotterdam. We also collect unknown spaces and places for shopping, eating and hanging out. Before we came along there were only the “big” agendas, NL10 and UitAgenda. They are nice, but neglect the niche. We live for the niche.
About the nomenclature: The “we” in We Own Rotterdam doesn’t stand for the small team of editors. Everybody who feels they belong to the website’s audience is part of this “we”.
The positive feedback we are getting is really encouraging. We are improving people’s evenings and weekends and that is something to be proud of.
